Today’s world is full of chaos, destruction, uncertainty, and pain — people rarely have hope, let alone hope in Christ. But as followers of Christ, our hope is not based on our circumstances, but anchored in God’s promises.
Scripture reminds us that our hope is alive, active, and eternal. Our hope has a name, and that name is Jesus.
Wherever you are in this life — maybe you’re facing the grief of a losing child or parent, perhaps it feels like you’re stuck or not the life you ever imagined, maybe you carry so much of the world’s burdens on your back — God’s Word offers us an unshakeable, steady hope. It just takes us surrendering to Him and rooting ourselves in His truth.

1. Hebrews 6:19 (NIV)
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”
When life is a storm, God promises that hope is an anchor. Anchors are strong enough to hold a boat against wind, water currents, and pounding waves. This verse reminds us that our Hope in Him is not flimsy or fading, it’s firm and secure. You may not always see the anchor deep in the dark, cold, murky water, but you can trust in the One who holds it.
2. Romans 15:13 (NIV)
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Waiting on God isn’t wasted time, it’s where our strength is found and renewed. Our time isn’t God’s and thank the Lord for that! When our Hope is in Him, we can rise above and outrun any discouragement, weariness, or fear.
5. Psalm 130:5 (NIV)
I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
God’s Word is our source of Hope, but we must physically and mentally put it. there. Our whole being — not just our body but our mind and soul too — need to wait on the Lord and physically draw from His word. When we wait on Him and trust what He has spoken, our hope is rooted in Him — something that is unshakeable and true.
