Skill Training

Human trafficking is one the greatest evils and fastest growing problems in the world. At ServeNow we want to do everything we can do to prevent trafficking in the first place. The best way to do this is through both awareness programs and providing skills training for women at risk. A skill gives hope and value. Check out three main skill training area’s below where hope is found by many through ServeNow!

“I am living under a tarp as my house is damaged (because of the earthquake that hit one week after graduation) but I am still able to earn pocket money through the skills and sewing machine provided by ServeNow. It is a great help for me to survive! I really appreciate you for your investment in my life and being a channel of blessing to start a tailoring shop in my village. I didn’t have any way to get training or purchase the machine but you helped me to do both. I sometimes think if I didn’t get the training and machine, I would be a victim of traffickers but now I can stand on my own feet. Thank you for helping me to be independent.”

“Leaving boarding school I asked myself: what will be my future? Most of my friends got involved in prostitution or went to jail. .. I lived in constant fear of being raped. My defense was pretending that I was a guy. I dressed like a boy, walked like a boy and even get a boys name. Now that I know God I thank Him that I’m not in prostitution or ended up in jail…”

“I was married at a young age and found out that my husband was a drunkard. My husband used to beat me regularly. One day my husband beat me so severely that I was hospitalized. Later he left me. This center and the training I was provided, literally saved my life.”
