The people of Ukraine have endured some of the darkest times with political and economic instability. On February 24,2022, Russia invaded and attacked Ukraine. This prompted Europe’s largest refugee crisis since World War II; displacing 8 million refugees across Europe and another 6.9 million people internally displaced within Ukraine. Life is much different than before the war and needs remain enormous.
Since 2013, ServeNow committed to sharing Christ’s passion for the world by serving the most vulnerable in Ukraine. Our National Directors, Tanya and Andrey S., and many volunteers work around the clock to serve the most vulnerable. Initially, ServeNow deployed safe houses called Place of Hope with transportation, lodging, food, and medicine. We directly evacuated 304 people to our Places of Hope with shelter, food, medicine, and comfort. In addition, our team helped 1,376 with partial evacuation, food, and medicine. Because of people like you, ServeNow has served around 10,000 people in Ukraine.
We are on the ground serving and meeting the needs of the most vulnerable in Ukraine. Children and families bear the brunt of this crisis. In parts of Ukraine, schools are closed impacting 3.6 million children. ServeNow continues to provide children with educational lessons in English, swimming, arts like drawing and painting, robotics, and legos. We’re even providing some families with laptops and tablets, as most schools have turned to online programs. But it doesn’t stop there! ServeNow continues to provide home repairs, rental assistance, and feeding programs to the most vulnerable.
Almost a year of war with enormous needs! Partner with us to serve the most vulnerable and show the love of Christ in action. Every gift towards Ukraine will bless the most vulnerable communities. Your donation will give comfort, hope, and peace of mind despite the ongoing war.
Our accountability to our donors is one of our highest priorities. Our goal is to use the funds entrusted to us as wise stewards. To do this requires continued monitoring and annual audits of our fund distribution. ServeNow is also a member in good standing with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), Candid (GuideStar), and Excellence in Giving (EIG).
