This past weekend, the church launched a new session of The Basic Things You Need to Know About Ethics. This Bible-based resource teaches how to apply Christian ethics in everyday life, offering practical guidance, real-world examples, and exercises to help believers make decisions that align with Jesus’ teachings.
During the session, participants reflected deeply on areas where they had fallen short—especially in business ethics. Several confessed to dishonest practices, such as misrepresenting customer orders to avoid confrontation. These honest admissions led to a renewed commitment to live with integrity.
One participant, Sunita, who runs a tailoring shop, shared her story:
“There were times when I told customers their orders were ready just to avoid pressure or confrontation. At that moment, it seemed like a small lie that wouldn’t matter. But now, I understand how this habit affects both my faith and the trust people have in me. I realize honesty is very important, even in small things. From today onward, I will always tell my customers the truth about their orders. It may be difficult at first, but I believe it will build stronger faith and trust in my work. I am grateful for this lesson and the chance to change.”
