Isaiah 12:3 – Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation.
John 4:14 – But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
It was a day of great celebration for two small village communities in Asia when ServeNow went in with water tanks to supply storage and clean water as a token of God’s love. July 13 and 14, 2018 were historic days for the villagers as they have traditionally suffered from lack of clean drinking water during the scorching summer months.
In the past ServeNow has provided 50-60 liters of clean drinking water to each family once or maybe twice a week, but this year, due to a shortage of funds, we could not do that. Instead, we decided to adopt a couple of villages and provide one water tank for each community where clean water can be stored and accessed at any time. Through this, people will benefit from this project many years from now!
One member from a partnering church has a heart to help but does not have the resources. When he was told about the ServeNow “Water of Life” project he was excited: “The Lord has heard my cry and sent ServeNow with this gift of a water tank to bless our community. Our people don’t need to go far to fetch clean water anymore and we are grateful.” (This is a church where believers are learning to be good citizens and followers of Jesus Christ.)
Rebata, a cheerful young woman added: “I am so happy that a water tank has been installed in our village as we can now very easily access water any time. Thank you ServeNow for blessing my family!”
A pastor of another partner church in requested that ServeNow provide a water tank for the villagers when he heard about the “Water for Life” program. “People in the village struggle to get clean water,” he said, “and I’m glad that ServeNow has provided us with a way to get clean water so easily. What a wonderful gift!”
A young man by the name of Nabaghana said, “We used to depend on the village well which dries up during the summer months. But now with the water tank in our village we will be able to get water without any difficulty! May God bless ServeNow for showing us such kindness.”
Thank you to those who were able to make this possible and be a blessing/answer to prayer this year for these communities! To meaningfully invest in others lives today to meet similar needs, please click here: Where Most Needed.
