A Thank You Letter from the Field

In a quiet corner of northern Sri Lanka, the village of Pesalai in Mannar still echoes with the memories of war. But recently, a new sound filled the air: laughter. The clatter of plates. The warm hum of shared conversation over a lovingly prepared meal.

This wasn’t just any meal. It was Manna. And God used you to bring it.

A Taste of Heaven in a War-Touched Land

Thanks to your support, ServeNow Sri Lanka was able to organize a beautiful outreach through our Manna Project at St. Fatima College—where over 1,400 students and nearly 900 parents, teachers, and guardians gathered to be fed in body and spirit.

This wasn’t a feast with silverware and chandeliers—but a humble, sacred meal. One Jesus would have joined, where dignity was restored, tears were replaced with smiles, and weary hearts were reminded: you are not forgotten.

You Served Like Jesus

Jesus didn’t need palaces or platforms to show love—He showed up with loaves and fish. He sat with the hurting, the hungry, the overlooked. And through your giving, you did the same.

You entered a story of scars and helped write a new chapter—one of healing, hope, and human connection.

Straight from the Heart: A Thank You from St. Fatima

The school’s Principal said it best:

“Your presence and support have not only met a physical need but also served as an inspiring example of love and compassion in action.”

Isn’t that what it’s all about? Living love. Breathing hope. Being Jesus in the everyday.

A Local Hero’s Testimony

Deacon Sister Shyamila, a woman who has seen both the pain and potential of Pesalai’s children, shared:

“Your act of kindness brought not just food, but a sense of being remembered and valued.”

What a holy reminder—sometimes, the most sacred thing we can give is simply the message: “You matter.”

Seeds of Hope Planted Because of You

Because of your generosity, what was once just another school day turned into a moment of sacred celebration. And we believe this is only the beginning. The seeds of love you sowed in Mannar are already taking root.

So from all of us at ServeNow—and from the hearts of hundreds of children and families in Sri Lanka—

Thank you for serving like Jesus!

You brought manna to Mannar.
You brought hope to forgotten hearts.
You showed love where it was desperately needed.

May God multiply the compassion you’ve shown, and may your heart be full knowing: you made a difference that matters.
