Elizabeth’s Story of Impact Through ServeNow’s Micro-Enterprise Program

Elizabeth, a dedicated ServeNow volunteer, was recently provided $200 in capital for a Micro-Enterprise project. With this funding, she purchased groundnuts directly from local farmers and resold them to consumers at a small profit. Through this simple yet effective business model, Elizabeth now earns an additional $2 a day, which has made a significant difference in her life.
In her own words, Elizabeth shared, “I thank ServeNow for the capital. The small income is helping me pay bus fees as I visit TBT groups, buy vouchers for communicating, and sometimes buy small snacks. I am looking forward to improving the project.”
While Elizabeth’s income may seem modest, it is providing her with the means to cover essential expenses and continue her important work with the TBT groups. Moreover, it’s opening the door for future growth, as Elizabeth is eager to expand her project and improve her financial stability. This small but mighty venture is a perfect example of how micro-enterprises can transform lives by providing temporary relief and the opportunity for sustained success.
